The Sioux Indians carved effigies to mourn and honor the loss of a Warhorse. Each piece was constructed using the hair of the lost horse. I have created effigies for clients to help them honor and grieve their lost horses. Each piece is created of wood, utilizing horse hair, beads and feathers. They can be mounted on a base, or be displayed as a wall hanging. They are approximately 14" tall and 20-24" long.
